Ingredients
  

  • 2 liters milk
  • 350g flour The consistency can be adjusted by adding more or less flour. 
  • 4 tbsps heaped, butter
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • cinnamon and sugar for serving

Instructions
 

Prepare the Crumb Mixture:

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the cold butter and flour.
  • Use your fingertips to gently rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  • Lift your fingers above the bowl while rubbing to help aerate the mixture, ensuring a lighter texture.

Heat the Milk:

  • Slowly bring the milk to a boil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent scorching.

Combine the Ingredients:

  • Once the milk reaches a boil, gradually sprinkle in small handfuls of the flour mixture while whisking continuously.
  • Keep whisking to prevent lumps from forming.

Simmer:

  • Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for at least 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • The mixture will thicken into a smooth, porridge-like consistency.
